A target is declared as part of putting an effect on the chain. The target must be legal at two times: First when announcing the effect, and second when the effect resolves. If the first check isn't legal, then the effect may not be played in the first place (the case of Finishing Move). If the...
That was careless writing, I think. The intent of the parenthetical statement would be to pay your LP down so you could get to the 1000 LP threshold. (i.e. I have 1500 LP and Magical Scientist on the field. I would want to pay 1000 LP to get to 500 so I could activate Last Turn). But yes, I can...
Actually Blade (and Electra and Deathwatch) are exceptionally strong for their drops. Blade gives every one of your MK and UW characters the ability to attack up the curve (or defend up it, depending on the situation). +2 ATK per character is not something to sneeze at especially if a team...
1. Berserk Gorilla will be reduced to half its ATK only after it attacks.
2. Mad Dog of Darkness is considered a new monster (even if it is the same physical card). It is 1900.
3. You could activate Mirror Wall to the Special Summon of Black Luster Soldier, but there would be little point as...
RFP is public knowledge unless a card was RFP face-down (and only that card is not public). The very nature of cards being face-up makes them public knowledge.
Rescue Cat will remain in the Graveyard. Your opponent will search your deck to verify that you do not have any applicable Level 3 or lower Beast-type monsters to Special Summon.
You may use the effect. If you choose to search your deck for a Nimble Momonga and don't find one, you must show...
Clone Saga/Sinister Six is one way around Loyalty (as your characters all have the same affiliation). An effect that would put a character into play (such as Dual Nature or Dr. Light) rather than recruiting them would also get around Loyalty (although with those cards, they need to be of a...
This thread is starting to get out of hand. Exiledforcefreak, you are not going to get the answer you want simply because there is nothing in the written rules that we have available that would answer the question to your satisfaction. All we have are rulings, such as that of Giant Trunade, that...
A couple problems with that scenario. I am assuming this is the chain you intend set up?
1) Player A attacks (and has exhausted and is now an attacker) with Character A (*A*) [this part is not on the chain itself, but just for reference]
2) Player B puts Heat Vision on the chain, targeting...
In all cases, because the Scapegoat card was activated, it will not be returned to the hand. It is already 'en route' to the Graveyard so to speak. It just needs to remain on the field until the entire chain resolves, but is not able to be sent any place but the Graveyard or removed from play...
1. That would be legal. Midnight Sons gives all of your Marvel Knights characters the chosen affiliation (and vice-versa). If all of the characters you controlled were either Marvel Knights and/or Fantastic Four, you could indeed perform that action.
2. The ongoing part is because the effect...
No. You don't control a Doom character. You are just considered to control Dr. Doom. (While there are no examples of it presently, there may in the future be a Dr. Doom card that is not of the Doom affiliation.)
Ceasefire can only be activated if at least one of the two following conditions are met:
1) There is a face-down monster.
2) There is a face-up effect monster.
1)If you have 3 Ectoplasmer on the field, you must Tribute 3 monsters if possible during your End Phase (at different intervals).
2) Ectoplasmer's effect is mandatory. If you are the Turn Player, you must Tribute one of your monsters.
3) Yes. Resolve Ectoplasmer's effect before Mind Control to...
Loyalty does not mean Recruit Blade only if you control a Marvel Knights character. What Loyalty means is Recruit Blade only if you control a character that shares an affiliation with Blade. Usually this means the same thing, however, if you had a card like Clone Saga which gives all affiliated...
A face-down Spell/Trap card brought to the field by Magical Hats is a legal target for Compulsory Evacuation Device. The only requirement for that card is that it target a monster, which Magical Hats makes those cards for the duration of its effect.
You would not be able to activate Mind Wipe if Protector of the Sanctuary is on the field. Generally speaking, if a Spell/Trap effect has a drawing effect as part of it, you cannot activate it if Protector of the Sanctuary is active.
