    Soul Exchange

Technically not. Exiled Force is tributing itself. 3-Hump Lacooda is tributing 2 other 3-Hump Lacooda (not itself in any way). It isn't any different than the Gravekeeper's Cannonholder example.

    Soul Exchange

Untrue, you can offer the opponent's monster targeted by Soul Exchange as a cost for another effect (such as Metamorphosis) however 3 Hump Lacooda requires the proper tributes and the proper circumstances to be activated. So if you have 3 3-Hump Lacooda on your side of the field and you target...

The ATK of Fusilier when he was tributed to summon Great Maju Garzett was 1400. Once he is in the graveyard he will reset to 2800. But Maju is not checking what the ATK was after it hits the graveyard, it is using the ATK of the monster at the time it is tributed. You are correct that he...

    Deck Dev

Yes it is but if the set Fusilier is 1400 ATK because it was set without tribute the game will not recognize it as a 2000+ ATK monster because that is what he'll be once he has been sent to the graveyard.

No the monster must be the correct one while it is on the field in order for it to satisfy the cost. If you have a face-up Dark Magician and DNA Transplant is active on the field changing him to Earth he can't be used as the cost for Deck Devastation because he is not a 2000+ Dark monster. The...

So where were you before you were in the graveyard? In the room that subsequently Disappeared. Doesn't that state that even if you didn't have to travel anywhere in order to get there that you were someplace else before? -Edit- if the bathroom never existed then the last place you were...

Double Coston can be tributed for a 2 tribute monster while face-down. Is it the effect of Double Coston that allows that? Are you suggesting that Double Coston is a graveyard effect? Okay now add Skill Drain to the equation if Skill Drain is active on the field Double Coston can not be...

    night assailant Q

But your scenario is asking if you go into a specific room in the house and that room Disappears then you aren't in that room. That assumes that there is another physical place that you are which is outside. So where is the third area in the summoning equation? Physically there is going to be...

If your logic is correct then yes that would be the new ATK. I'm saying that that will not be the case.

Cards can and do have effects while face-down. Big Shield Gardna, Double Coston it is not a fact that cards do not have a game mechanic recognized effect while face down. Just that the majority of effects are such that they must be face-up in order to be used. If you tribute a face-down...

Yes, I am saying that a Fusilier set without tribute would indeed be destroyed by Deck Devastation Virus. I truly believe that would be the case. We don't have an Official answer on that yet so apparently UDE is still not sure whether that is correct or not.

    night assailant Q

Argghh! Another one of those right rulings with the wrong reason situations. This is why Konami doesn't like UDE to expand on answers because they get a little information and go the wrong direction with it. Just like Skill Drain vs. Exiled Force. The answer is correct that Electric Snake...

He isn't disagreeing with being able to tribute a 2000+ monster face-down. He is disagreeing with your theory that Fusilier isn't seen by the game as half attack when he is set without tribute. This has been debated for months and asked on the Judge's List at least a dozen times and if they...

    night assailant Q

I have to suppose that you mean the monster is "considered" to have not been on the field because it was not successfully summoned. Which is fine and well and good as far as "did the continuous effect have the opportunity to turn on". But the monster card itself physically was considered where...

Vampire Lord + Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys

No they do not form a chain. The Turn Player could choose which effect he wanted to have activate first, that chain would be built and allowed to resolve, and then the other monster would activate, and that chain would proceed as normal.

Exactly the problem. Logically it would physically be in one of the two locations unless there really is a limbo zone.

    night assailant Q

The question is simply where is the monster when the summon is negated. If you normal summon Sangan and he is negated by Solemn Judgment he was not "on the field" so when he goes to the graveyard his effect won't activate (nobody had a problem with that). If you flip summon Sangan and the...

Yeah! Limbo! We do so love the limbo questions. We truly should put this as well as the Sangan question in the Unsolved Mysteries thread. :)

    Ojama Trio issue.

Masterwoo is correct. Also Stray Lambs, Multiplication of Ants, Rescue Cat, Water Dragon, Phantasmal Martyrs, and Blockman have to have the right number of open zones or the effect will Disappear.
