Wow!! Maybe you should trry de-caff, Woo-san. You seem a bit edgey today. lol.
I dont drink coffee. Can't even recall when I last had a caffiene product.

There is no "edge". I just dont like Pepsi and have never seen a reason for people who otherwise could reduce their weight, unlike people who have a documented medical condition, to resort to drinking artificially sweetened drinks or any other of the diet crazy items, just so they dont get "any bigger".

Now, I realize that there are people who no longer can enjoy the real thing, again, because of medical conditions, or maybe because they would just prefer to not intake higher doses of sugar, carbs, etc... But, I guess after being in the military for 20 plus years, and only gaining 40 pounds (trust me, I probably do much less exercise than most, with a couple ruptured disc, bad knees, and several other aliments, and I do enjoy eating!!), I just dont see why people dont do what they need to do to enjoy something instead of having to resort to less of what you enjoy.

Actually, I know why... :drool_jed

And now, back to our regularly scheduled program....

I like Sprite Zero...and that puts the thread back on track. Simon Zero!!! Hahahahahaha!!!! I can't wait for May 13th/14th to have some fun with that.

Regardless of the numbers, I will make sure the the Super Silly Simon Special Extravaganve will happen.

Hello fellow judges !!!

I was at SJC Columbus for some Yu-Gi-Oh! fun and madness. I was moderately succesful in my goal, which was to ruin all my opponent's tiebreakers with my Thunder Dragon tech haha. Needless to say, I was moderately successful, going 5-5 and placing 200th overall. Next time I will try to do better and go like 1-9 or something haha.

OK, to get back to the topic:

I found out that Julia Hedberg is going to be our fearless leader at Nationals, in other words she is the head judge. How cool is that.

To the other Simons...we gotta scratch the plan now on trying to be on seperate teams in order to mess with the staff...I don't want Julia getting mad at us and we are assigned to do side events !!!! hahahaha

(Not that running side events is a demeaning job, it's just one I prefer not to do...don't know about you two though)

Man, I gotta read up on my rulings, I was playing Jason Grabher-Meyer and Ian Estrin for fun...and I made some horrible rulings extrapolations during our matches...it was embarassing. I guess it was good that I got it all out then...so it will minimize the likelihood of me issuing a bad ruling at Nationals.

Well, talk to you all later !!!

Hmm....I want to play Julia for the right to be HJ at Nationals. Using nothing of the Restricted section of the list. =P You think she'd go for it??? Hahaha. =P I'd lose so badly.

Anyway, I actually would rather do the main event than the side events, at least for Day 1. If they want to stick me in the side events on Day 2, thats fine with me. Then again, I love being close to the action, especially the Top 8 tables. =)

As for you making bad rulings, shame on you. *Goes off to find the spare car battery and cables* I'm going to set up a backpack for you to use around and whenever you make a bad ruling, you get zapped. =)

I'm just thrilled to have the chance to go to Nationals. I don't care if I'm judging side events...lol, just as long as I'm there!

I'm just mostly wondering who the rest of the judge staff is going to be. I have confirmed about 4 of my local judges and julia, simon #1 and simon #3. I have no idea what the rest of the staff is going to look like.

The last two years, including the HJ between 9 and 11. While that may sound like a great many you have to remember you're overseeing roughly 500 players and the crew you're working with is expected to be highly organized, professional, and quick to every task as well as correct on every ruling (this of course we know to be impossible but the players seem to expect)

looks like we'll have one of the most highly trained staffs ever...i think around eight level 3's brought in, im not sure how many local judges will be coming. still waiting on the staff list from ian.

hopefully there will be an extra treat for the judges this time, i'm trying to coordinate it but not sure if it's doable.

in the meantime, everyone study up! ;)

and it would take at least six simons to successfully mess with MY head - and the end result would be packing them off in a lump to run beginner booster drafts. hehe.

Now that's cruel and unusual punishment!!

Julia,

As far as I know, there are about 3 other local judges that I know whoa re Lv2s and are sponsored or on the list to judge. =)

And don't worry about having 6 Simons. We are all quick enough on our feet to seem like there are 9 of us. =)

P.S. Did Simon #1 talk to you about the plan on thursday yet???
