When this card is destroyed or removed from the field, your opponents monster is sent to your opponents hand.
After that, decrease your life points by 2000.

Mechanically impossible. You may only pay for a card at activation. It would have to say "After that, decrease your Life Points by 2000" or "After that, your Life Points become 2000 less".

Nothing Impossible about it. Several cards do pay "costs" at resolution (Order to Charge, Order to Smash, Share the Pain, Ritual Spells)

"Pay" would indicate that the Life Point change will be relevant to the card "Life Absorbing Machine."

Just because Konami makes a card like that doesn't mean it isn't impossible.
