This got me thinking a little bit...Logician talking about rings...Maruno calling him a regular Lord...Lord of the Ring...female...fairy-type maybe? Girl's worst friend...Vanity would be a friend and/or enemy...so,

You see, that was entirely not a clue. It was indeed a reference to Lord of the Rings, but only for amusement. The answer has nothing to do with rings. Or vanity.

well lets see.... if diamonds are a girls best friend, than her worst friend would likely be something opposite of that..... or even just an impostor such as an amethyst (fake diamond......)
so in that line of thinking

The reason why I'm confused is that everyone is naming ENEMIES, but the clue says FRIEND

so because of this I'm sticking with a friend.
So, thinking about cards that have "Girl" in their name I starting thinking of Dark Magician Girl, and how she has 2 friend cards, Dark Magician and Magician of Black Chaos. Magician of Black Chaos is the stronger of the two, and so therefore, the "better", and I guess that Dark Magician is the worst of the two.

And in keeping in the same theme, I also guess the Unhappy Maiden, since she has a friend, the unhappy Girl.

so the guesses are:
Dark magician, and Magician of Black Chaos and Unhappy Maiden.
 
Oh! There goes my next set of guesses. I was going to scroll through the Mirrors (Fiend's Hand Mirror and Mirror Wall), and then start on the Crystal Beasts. Okay, well, they're out there, so even though it isn't vanity, I'll stick with those Mirrors until I can take another tack....
 
Well, if diamonds are a girl's best friend, then poor quality diamonds would be a bad "friend" since their luster is bad. Bad diamonds, black carbon coal, poor luster...
