Well myself, and other Syndicate players will be atending the YGO Nationals. As well as Team A1 (D.S.A.).

I hope to meet all you guys in person, and make some more friends.

See all you guys there.

You had to go to Reno to qualify???

Meh, they had only like 6 rounds. Thats so sad. =/ Why are my events always 8 rounds?

I'll be there but on the VS side of the ring. I got put on staff for Metagame's event coverage for the Pro Circuit, w00t! It's like a dream come true to be honest, I've always been quite the journalist.

In any case, I was turned down for PC judgeship but I recieved my sponsorship through Metagame so I guess that's all cool. Apparently I'm roommates with mortals while I'm there... that should be fun, ;).

Anyways, figured I'd post that here. You'll find me running around the PC like a chicken with it's head chopped off most likely.

I should bug Jason about doing some sort of expose on COG and the members of the judge staff/coverage staff they have....

It sure will. Gotta brush up on rulings, policies, and other things. Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you COG-ers and fellow judges.

Not a bad idea. Why shouldn't so many CoGgers in one place get a little wink/nudge? :)

he won't mention cog, mainly cause we steer away from that kind of thing. otherwise you're dragging site after site into it and oh, just picture the chaos.

well i've seen the 'final' list and schedule, as much as these things ever are final until the day of and we should have a heck of a weekend. see you all there -- i'll be arriving 1 day fresh from tokyo so i will have no idea what time it is x-x

I like the low key attribute of COG. One of the reasons I frequent this site is because there are a plethora of threads to peruse and learn so much from without having to read flames. The threads and the majority of posters are very mature, which means there are less pointless debates over miniscule details regarding Yu Gi Oh or other items of interest.

Just imagine what would happen to this site if 40,000 Pojoers suddenly decide to trickle in here. I'm willing to bet it won't be a pretty sight.

Back on topic, I'd like to meet everyone there and hopefully link them to online identities if they have one. It's a bummer I cannot help out on Sunday though...

If 40,0000 Pojo-ers (and by that, I presume you mean the less well-behaved members of said forum) came by, there'd be a full scale Avengers Assemble on the Council of Heroes. I have no doubt, we'd have everything settled and under control in a mater of hours. Yes, I'm very confident of the Councils ability and dedication. Largely because most of you haven't seen the times when members have tried to abuse these forums and post inappropriate material. The reason you didn't notice is because the moderators here where on it so fast, and the respective members got banned so fast, it made their heads spin. Granted, we'd probably need a helping hand if membership ever does go over 40,000. But I still believe that the Council is ready for it. Yes, it would be ugly, for them. ;)

Well if it went over the amount you guys could efficiently deal with you do have quite a few long standing members that have proved themselves time and again that you initiate into the council as say your deputies. Its not exactly a bad idea but it would take some careful consideration.

Also if you guys want to advertise the forum a good idea would maybe be wearing a COG hat or t-shirt or something along those lines. ya know slip it under the radar. Use some kind of subliminal messaging or something.

Didn't we used to have a store or something? It migth have been Empyre Group merchandise, thoug. I don't think we ever had any CoG merchandise produced. The EGI shirts and sweats where really nice looking, though. It would have been nice to have something long tose lines.

Well heel why not go get them printed yourself its not that expensive. Sure even just get the banner put on on a t-shirt and there ya go. But yeah a nice store of cog stuff would be nice too. Good way of making some small amount of extra revenue too.

I was trying to encourage a killer COG playmat for a while. I'm sure the cost of doing so is outside of the budget. I don't know how many would be interested in buying such a playmat...but you know how popular playmats are these days.

Why not do up a limited supply of them and maybe auction them off prior to a main event of some kind or something. Just a small idea. It would not only give you an idea of how much you could get for them if you made them regular sales peice and it would hopefully make a small profit in order to help fund the endeavour.

You could purchase blank white playmats and see a printing press to see how much it'd cost to get the logo printed on the playmats...
