Wonder how they would do that, since the monster must come from your graveyard, so you can't draw a card when your opponent special summons a monster from his graveyard.

EDIT: STUPID ME, I thought you meant crystal beast as spell cards (which are continuous, I know), I didn't think about the crystal support cards XD

The way most people use Legacy is to summon a spirit and then creature swap or mystic box it to the opponent, following by activating it.

Peten doesn't work when it is sent to the graveyard because of a cost, because it will miss it's timing ;)

Correct. A Monster equipped to Relinquished, Cyberdark Dragon, etc. do NOT have effects, so you won't be able to send lvl 3 to the grave to summon lvl 5.

Why not? The monster you got with Brain Control is the one you send back with Creature Swap and destroyed it afterwards, so you still keep the monster you only got with CS :) If both monsters would survive however, this would be the case:
